HISTORY:
Founded in 1984 in Seattle, Washington by design professionals,
Clayton Moss and Russ Roberts, SignTech began as a design /build
sign company specializing in wayfinding and identification
systems for Corporate Campuses in the emerging Technology Corridor
of the Greater Seattle area.
In the late 80’s, the principals
recognized a need for a sophisticated detailing, engineering,
consulting, project management and manufacturing resource for
the
more creative, custom and comprehensive environmental graphic design projects.
In response to this need, SignTech re-invented itself with a greater emphasis
on technical construction detailing, and added multi-media fabrication capabilities
including custom metal fabrication and electrical expertise.
By the early 90’s
SignTech had established itself as a leading source for the implementation of
comprehensive Environmental Graphic systems throughout the
Western US. The company’s main focus had shifted from campus settings to more
complex urban environments including retail centers, corporate and institutional
spaces, and large public venues including sports facilities and museums. By the
end of that decade, SignTech had also produced some very notable graphics for
themed environments such as Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios, enhancing
SignTech’s reputation as a specialty fabricator with the ability to tackle some
of the most unique and challenging projects in the industry.
Today, SignTech projects
circle the globe. From Hong Kong to Alaska, from Japan to Paradise Island, Bahamas,
and in major cities throughout the US, SignTech
has provided world class products and services to the professional design community
and the built environment.
