The signage program for PCC called for the use of found objects as icons for departments within the store, and SignTech incorporated the use of old shovels, mason jars, empty wine bottles and other recycled materials where possible. This largely "green" signage system was honored by the Society of Environmental Graphic Design for outstanding achievement in 2004.
